VINYL TIME MACHINES : Record stores

  Record stores are like musical time machines.  Here are some pictures of the local record shop that you can find me at on sunday afternoons.  Digging through all these timeless goodies amazes me.  As Dj Shadow put it " these records are just hopes and dreams of the past."  I feel like the thrill of digging for records culminates with the celebration of the catch.  I like the fact that record collecting is like an infinite journey into the past.  Record collecting is another fascination of mine that also fuels my passion to create. 

THE PRESENT : The beach, music, and skateboarding

  This is my idea of decompressing.  The beach, music, and skateboarding all have been major components of my life.   Music and skateboarding are two components that have made me the person I am today.  I feel without a release life would have no purpose.  All these things provide me with more than just a release, but passion love and appreciation for life.

VANS : Sponsored project

  This Fall semester Vans is sponsoring one of my studio classes.  As a skateboarder who grew up in southern California I am so excited to be apart of this.  I cant wait to see whats in store for the upcoming weeks. 

PENSOLE : Portland, Oregan

  Pensole was an amazing experience that I never wanted to end.  Located in Portland, Oregon it taught me a lot about myself as a person and as a designer.  Truly a great experience that I recommend for any designer.

TIME TRAVEL : 20 years ago

  My Grandma visited me the other day and handed me this.   I was 8 years old when I did this sketch.  The passion for drawing and creating has been with me since I could remember. This was just a bookmark in time that got me to think about the past relative to the future. Thanks Grandma.

DRAG RACING : Every Thursday

  Cars are one of my biggest inspirations.  Drag racing is pure brutality.  Massive engines designed for one purpose,  to go as fast as you can.  No turns, no pit stops, none of that,  just the purity of power and speed.  Drag racing is something I grew up with and its also something i truly admire. SHOES : Passion

  I took a picture of all the shoes I have so far. I NEED MORE! lol, you can never have enough.  I love admiring the design, material choice, and color combos. They inspire me everyday.
